Welcome to the first-ever Privacy matters podcast by Speech Privacy Systems. I am Andrew Vawter, VP of Business Development. I’ll be your host for this episode. We are now gonna do a podcast weekly, every couple of weeks to try and keep information for our partners that helps you understand better acoustics, how we work as a company, understand our products, understand questions you can be asking customers. To just give more information out there so our partners that want to work with us can be better trained, can have more awareness of how our solutions fit different problems and understand success stories.
[00:47]
Every episode will be short that you can listen to in a quick amount of time, gets more information out of it and get out through the day. We’ll have interviews with people inside our office, you need to know people. Maybe some people outside of our office, whatever gonna make sense to help grow the awareness and understanding the effectiveness of all people that we work with.
[01:11]
Every episode, we’re trying to cover a few different topics. We’re always wanted to discuss something on marketing as far as to talk tracks, what are we focusing on, what solutions are we solving and problems. We wanna also cover Acoustics 101. As often as we can, we want to make the whole idea of acoustics much simpler and much easier to understand so that way everybody out there that works with us feels much more comfortable and confident having conversations about it. We will cover some SPS processes that way you can understand better how do we do a quote an estimated amount of acoustic panels and space or what will be the solution for certain types of environment. Things like that- to make sure to make you feel comfortable understanding how best to work with Speech Privacy.
[02:01]
We’ll also introduce you to new people in the office all the way from sales to operations to manufacturers and even shipping. We’ll get everybody here so you’ll get to know the culture and the people that makeup Speech Privacy Systems and we’ll always want to hit as many success stories as possible. I believe everybody understands where things are working, the more often we recognized similar situations and can leverage those stories to get more people to understand what we can do and how can we help them.Today, we’re gonna cover just a few short things. The first thing I thought best would be covered in the 2019 plan. We had a lot of changes in Speech Privacy Systems. We introduced a new product last year, a lot of you are aware of it. We’re still exploring our products because there are so many opportunities for this product to develop into other solutions that we constantly looking for ways to better apply the products that we have into the marketplace and to our partners. That’s been a lot of change, a lot of flexing. We kind of enjoy that, we’re going to continue to try to make the best thing for our customers.
[03:17]
Our goal in 2019 is to really focus on how to make privacy simpler. A lot of things out there are confusing acoustic. They’re making it sound like you have to have an acute acoustician, you have someone overly trained that you can talk about if there’s something wrong. There’s a lot of companies or competitors out there that are pushing the idea that is so complicated. You need us to come in and take measurements and do all these things. We’ve looked at it and said that “well that its true and many cases there are some unique variables in space. There are also a lot of consistent problems that similar spaces experience. And so when you can draw the data from different solutions and different environments that we’ve treated and applied to similar situations somewhere else. We find that our customers were overjoyed with the results but it was cheaper, faster and simpler than having you to go through the steps some people are making acoustics out to be.
[04:23]
How do we make it simple? The first step, we wanna make it simple, the quote, we wanna make it simple to talk about, we wanna make it simple to show. The backend, we wanna make it simple to order and install. We really invested in how we gonna make the entire process simple. A couple of different ways we’ve done is were calculating different estimating tools to make it quicker and easier to get prices so that way when you were in the field and you need to know how much something costs we can at least give you estimated cost very quickly even quotes can speed up.
[05:03]
Another big thing we’ve done is we’ve added a team of direct employees that were gonna be an installer for us that traveled the country installing first acoustic panels and expand to sound masking as well. The reason we’re so excited about that is we are the only company in North America that does sound masking, acoustical treatments and installations anywhere in North America. That’s a pretty unique difference that we feel we have but what we wanted to do is we want the installation component to give us highly trained as highly focused with the customers and as efficient as possible and the best way to do that is to have our own employees. We added these employees, we’ve trained them. There are after installations and we’re adding more so we can better service our customers and your customers. That’s gonna be the biggest way we make privacy simple this year is by having our direct employees on-site doing installations, training customers and giving that experience that we all wanna give to end-user. Other things we gonna do is taking some of our products and showing how they compare with other products or how they can do a purpose as acoustical and as partitions, screen or some sort of visual privacy. Broadening what we are capable of doing but still keeping the solutions and the process simple is really our goal for 2019.
[06:34]
Another goal that we have that I hope you gonna start experiencing more and more, we want us to rebuff on everybody that we are communicating with. We want to ask more questions when you guys bring us an opportunity. The days are just flipping something around with the price and hopefully, are gone. The reason they’re gone is were discovering that every opportunity that comes into our company has more problems and just the first stated solution that was asked for. The more we’re gonna ask questions about the use of the space what are the rooms are, how the company plans to utilize an entire space. We’re gonna uncover a few things, we’re gonna uncover more information about how to better design and install a sound masking system. We’re also uncovering the opportunity to help them treat their lobby or break room or reduce reverberation on other areas or putting acoustic panels in conjunctional sound masking which makes sound masking better, more effective, sounds better and customers are significantly more happy with the results of the solution. The first thing that we have to make we’re doing is asking questions. We’re gonna be curious, we wanna know and I hope that rubs off on our reps and dealers so you’ll be more curious and you’ll ask more questions. We’ll enjoy this process in getting deeper into each project so we can fully create a better solution for the customer. There’s also a secondary benefit to doing that. Not only we’re gonna ask more questions and hopefully find more possible solutions for customers but that helps you in the very distinct way that helps differentiate the overall solution.
[08:25]
Many times that we get a request for sound masking and there are competing quotes out there. The customers can very easily get another system- one or the other two or three competitors are out there can give a quote in their hands relatively quickly. It turns into this game of comparison whose price is better, whose features are better. In most cases, we really need a driving force for someone needs to be bind from one company or another. The beautiful thing about this is we’re going to be able to help you educate your client about the overall solutions in their space. Now you’ll be going in with multiple suggested products that tied together to make a very nice solution for their space both visually and acoustically. Now, they wanna need a quote to compare that quote, they have to call multiple companies and so that differentiate us a company able to be a one-stop-shop to do that. In turn, we’ll differentiate all of our partners out there that are working with us in our capacity because even if it’s your customer that you ever believe who’s ever gonna look around. Even if they decided to try or would be such a pain that they would never turn back and look at you and say “Hi! You’ve clearly got a better understanding of what we need for space than anybody else.”
[09:49]
That’s the goal that we have for this year. How do we help our partners be better, talker and questionnaires about acoustics and then how do we come up with simple, easy to understand, affordable solutions that we can integrate into office space? Ultimately, make sure that customers who are moving into new space or renovating spaces are able to have better work experiences, have more productive work experiences and have a better life as a result of that.
